Catalina Crew - Marine Lifestyle & Media

Flexible - Spring/Summer/Fall 2026

Company:

Catalina Crew is a marine lifestyle and media brand based in Marina del Rey. We create video and social content around Southern California boating, yachting, and outdoor adventures, with new TV projects and major upcoming events on the horizon.

Available Roles:

  • Creative Content Intern

  • Design Intern

Creative Content Role:

We’re looking for a creatively minded student who wants real, hands-on experience in content and media. You’ll help shape how our brand looks and feels online—editing videos, pitching ideas, and supporting social channels as we grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit short- and long-form videos for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok

  • Help brainstorm and develop content ideas and mini-series

  • Assist with social posting, basic analytics, and community engagement

  • Join on-location shoots on the water and at events when available

Qualifications:

  • LMU sophomore, junior, or senior interested in content, media, or marketing

  • Comfortable with (or eager to learn) tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and Instagram Edits

  • Active on social platforms and tuned into what makes content engaging

  • Reliable, curious, and excited by the marine and outdoor lifestyle

Compensation: Academic credit, plus covered costs for select trips and events (yacht shows, Chargers games, major functions, and more)

Design Role:

We’re looking for a design-focused student who wants to turn ideas into real products. You’ll help shape Catalina Crew’s look through merch and graphics that live on hoodies, hats, vests, stickers, and boating accessories.

Responsibilities:

  • Create digital designs for apparel, accessories, and stickers

  • Develop mockups and sample collections that can be produced and tested

  • Evolve logos, typography, and layouts for marine-inspired branding

  • Support visual needs for events, collaborations, and product drops

Qualifications:

  • LMU sophomore, junior, or senior interested in design, fashion, or branding

  • Comfortable using design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar)

  • Drawn to merch, streetwear, or lifestyle brands and how they show up in the world

  • Sewing or fashion design experience/interest is a plus, not required

  • Detail-oriented, open to feedback, and eager to build a strong portfolio
