Old Girls Entertainment a full service woman-owned and founded, Los Angeles–based independent production company. Our mission is to amplify women’s voices through original film, television, and podcast storytelling, to champion women-led narratives, elevate underrepresented perspectives, and create space for authentic stories. Our team works on everything from development to post production and the film festival circuit, as well as crowd-funding campaigns for independent productions. Our Get Set! Podcast is now in production for it’s 5th season with guests, including Director Laura Murphy, Producer Zainab Azizi, Executive Director Colleen Labella, and Actress Stephanie Szostak.
Role Description:
Old Girls Entertainment is looking for a Spring 2026 Social Media & Marketing Intern who is excited by content creation, community building, and using digital platforms to elevate women-led stories and voices in the industry. As a Social Media Intern, you'll work closely with our Co-Founders and Co-Hosts of the Get Set! Podcast.
February 2nd - May 1st, 2026 (2/2/26 - 5/1/26). Late January start date option, based on class requirements of intern. This internship is for College/University credit (non-paid). This role offers a unique opportunity to dive into entertainment marketing, help amplify women-led stories across film, TV, and podcast platforms, while honing your skills in content creation and social media marketing.
Program Overview:
Support social media strategy and content development to promote our film, television, and podcast projects across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Contribute to visual and digital storytelling that highlights women-led narratives, brand identity, and behind-the-scenes moments from our creative work
Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing social content using project management tools
Help script, capture, and appear in social video content with enthusiasm, creativity, and on-camera confidence
Edit static and motion content using graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, and CapCut
Conduct trend research and provide regular insights into TikTok, Instagram, and broader social platform updates
Organize content calendars and individual tasks using Asana or similar project management tools
Assist with ideation for digital campaigns, podcast promotion, and community-building initiatives
Support outreach to creatives, including emailing talent, collaborators, and potential partners
Conduct research on grants, film festivals, and sponsorship opportunities to support projects and partnerships
Assist with drafting proposals, pitch decks, and presentation materials for creative partners and collaborators
Stay informed on entertainment, podcasting, and social media trends and brainstorm innovative ways to engage audiences
Act responsibly with confidential or sensitive information, including adherence to NDA, Social Media, and AI policies (signed NDA, Social Media Policy, and AI Policy required)
Qualifications & Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited College or University with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Must have transportation access to Los Angeles Metro area for in-person days, or if not a Los Angeles local, option to be fully remote.
Available to work for up to 15 hours/week, option to add more to meet course requirements if needed.
Strong research skills and familiarity with social platforms and current content trends (Reels, TikTok, memes, etc.)
Must stay on top of niche marketing campaigns in the entertainment industry
Proficiency in editing static content
Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, and/or equivalent) for editing video content
Comfortability and ability to engage social media audience, and email potential guests
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong interest in entertainment, content creation, and social media, especially as tools for elevating women’s voices within the tv and film industry
